An overview of the bimatoprost ophthalmic solution

An overview of the bimatoprost ophthalmic solution

On the label, Bimatoprost is used for:

Bimatoprost is a prostaglandin substitute that was first sold under different brand names to lower intraocular pressure (also called eye hypertension) in people with glaucoma.

Later, some experts found that the solution used to treat glaucoma had the odd side effect of making eyebrows grow longer and darker.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved careprost for cosmetic use to promote longer, thicker, and darker eyelashes. The FDA cleared bimatoprost ophthalmic solution (0.03%) in December 2008 as a way to treat hypotrichosis, which means sparse or poor eyelashes.

Other uses of bimatoprost that are not on the label:

An enormous amount of research is being done to find out if bimatoprost can help eyebrows grow faster and thicker.

Bimatoprost is also being tried to see if it can be used to make hair grow faster on the head. Bimatoprost is being tried on both men and women to see if it can help treat baldness.

Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution Works in This Way:

Bimatoprost is a prostaglandin, which is a chemical made from fatty acids. In hair shafts, there are different kinds of prostaglandin receptors. Bimatoprost is a drug that is meant to bind to the receptors.

They are known to make the anagen phase of hair growth last longer and increase the amount of hair that goes through it. It is also known that bimatoprost can make the dermal papilla, or hair bulb, bigger. It is known that all of these things that bimatoprost does help hair grow and make it thicker and longer. You can buy bimatoprost online. There are several safe sites where you can buy careprost online in the USA and have them sent right to your door.

To get the most out of Bimatoprost Ophthalmic, here are some things you should watch out for:

These are the safety tips:

  • The lower eyelid should never be touched with the bimatoprost fluid. It’s only meant to be used on the upper eyelid. When you blink, the product normally moves to your lower eyebrows and lower eyes.
  • If you spill too much of the product, you may see your hair grow faster in the places that come into contact with bimatoprost.
  • Therefore, if you spill bimatoprost on your face or if it runs down your eyes, use blotting paper to soak up the extra.
  • When you put it on your other eye, always use a new roller. After one use, the brush should be thrown away.
  • Please be patient while using the product, as for most people, the drug doesn’t start to work until two months of constant use.
  • When you get the eyelashes you want, don’t stop using the product because they will go back to how they were before you stopped using them.
  • Because the bimatoprost ophthalmic solution contains benzalkonium chloride, which the lenses can easily absorb, you should take out your contact lenses before using them.

Bimatoprost should only be used under the guidance of a doctor since it can make the redness worse if the person already has abnormal eye pressure. If a woman who is breastfeeding is taking bimatoprost, she needs to be careful because there are no known safety facts about the body absorbing it. Women who are pregnant should only take bimatoprost if their doctors say it is safe for both the mother and babies. It hasn’t been proven safe or effective for kids yet.
